WORKSHOPS

QPWN is committed to providing opportunities for our members to grow and develop their personal and professional skills. We offer a variety of workshops throughout the year, and have already completed several successful workshop series. These workshops are delivered by local trainers and facilitators and are exclusively for women.

RSVPs are required for attending workshops and we ask that all attendees please honor their RSVP and avoid late cancellations/no-shows. While QPWN does not charge for its events, the workshop facilitator may choose to charge a small fee. Fees are paid directly to the workshop facilitator upon arrival at the event.

Please dress in culturally-appropriate business attire when attending workshops.

Objectives:
To provide a general understanding of :

The legal framework within which Qataris and non-Qataris can do business and invest in Qatar (e.g. CRO, Branch, LLC, SMEs, etc)
The risks of doing business and investing outside of this legal framework
Some actions which may reduce these risks

Content:
A short talk on the points above is followed by group discussions to determine which parts of the legal framework will prove problematic for women, in particular, doing business in Qatar. There will also be group discussions on risks and actions to reduce them.

The speaker will make time for individuals to share their experience with others and for questions to be asked.
